What is a Code Compliance Bond?
The Code Compliance Bond assures your customers that you conduct business in according to written standard standards (i.e. building codes). In 2009, it replaced the License Bond.
It is a three year continuous bond and is unlimited with no minimum or maximum. It currently has a penalty sum of $10,000.
Why do I need one?
All contractors are required to have a Code Compliance Bond, formerly known as the License Bond, in order to get licensed in New Mexico.
